How BBL Hero & MOXI laser skin rejuvenation treatments work
BBL and MOXI each use a different type of laser technology. BBL stands for broadband light, which is also known as phototherapy, whereas MOXI uses non-ablative fractional laser energy.
While the technology behind each laser is very different, they both use wavelengths of light energy that penetrate deep under the skin – without removing or damaging any of the top layers – and generate heat. This heat stimulates cell regeneration and the production of collagen and elastin, which are well-known as the body’s natural answer to firm, plump, young, healthy-looking skin.
The main differences between the two treatments are that MOXI works deeper in the skin than the broadband light, and BBL uses a broad spectrum of light that can be filtered in several different ways in order to treat specific conditions – hence each treatment generating different results.
However, results aside, both treatments are otherwise fairly similar in terms of what to expect:
- Fast: Both treatments are fast (BBL Hero is 4x faster than traditional BBL treatments) and the average face treatment for both MOXI and BBL Hero takes just 10–15 minutes.
